Carmalized Onion & Bleu Cheese Burger and Garlic Rosemary Fries

Carmalized Onion & Bleu Cheese Burger and Garlic Rosemary Fries

This recipe is inspired by Pub-style fancy menu items.

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Preheat oven to 400°. Cut both potatoes into 1/4" slices and pat dry. Place on a parchment lined baking sheet. Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with garlic pepper, salt, and pepper. Bake 25-30 minutes.

* Step 2

Stem and chop sprig of Rosemary. Set aside.

* Step 3

Add 2 Tbsp. Olive oil to skillet and heat to medium. Cut onion in 2 halves then slice each half into think slices. Add to pan and cook 13-15 min. If the pan dries out, add water 1 Tbsp. At a time.

* Step 4

While onions and fries are cooking, heat another skillet to med and add 2 Tbsp. Olive oil to pan. Toast the buns. Remove and set aside. Use the same skillet to cook hamburger patties.

* Step 5

Shape and form beef patties. Season with salt & pepper. Cook until done.

* Step 6

When onions have finished their time, add 1 oz red cooking wine and 1 Tbsp. Sugar. Cook 2-3 minutes. Remove from heat.

* Step 7

When fries are done, remove from heat and sprinkle with Rosemary.

* Step 8

When beef patties are done, top with Bleu cheese and cook until it melts.

* Step 9

Dress burger as shown below. Bottom bun, carmalized onions, beef patty, Bleu cheese, arugula, top bun. Serve with fries.
