Fennel and apple salad
Simple crunchy salad.
Cooking instructions
* Step 1
Put some cold water in a bowl. Squeeze in the lemon juice and put the lemon halves in too.
* Step 2
Finely slice the fennel and apple. Put the slices in the cold water. This stops them from browning.
* Step 3
When you’re ready to serve, drain. Put in a serving dish.
Sprinkle with the fennel fronds and toasted almonds/ caramelised almonds. Lemon zest is a nice addition.
