Idly sandwich or stuffed masala idli
This dairy free & gluten free steamed rice cake is not only healthy but also delicious when u enjoy with sambar or chutney.
Cooking instructions
* Step 1
Soak rice, dal & methi seeds in water for 6 hrs & grind into a fine thick batter. Add salt & allow it to ferment for 8-10hrs. Batter is ready.
* Step 2
For stuffing. Cut 2 potatoes into small cube & boil untill it's soft & tender. Mash it well & keep it aside. In a pan heat oil & add mustard, urad dal, finely chopped onion, green chilli salt & turmeric. when it turns golden brown add mashed potatoes & mix it well with lil salt. Masala is ready.
* Step 3
Pour 1tbsp of batter into each mold & place flattened masala & pot 2-3tbsp of batter to cover the filling. Now steam it for 10-15 mins & steam it.
* Step 4
Idly sandwich is ready. Enjoy!!
