Batti In Appam Maker

#New #post1 My Family is fond of Dal Batti but never made at home. Always had at dhaba or restaurant. But this time I tried to make it at home. Normally I head Battis r made in Batti Cooker or Oven. I do not have both. But need to make it so tried in Appam Maker and got superb result. My family loved it and Happy. So am I.

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Take a kneading plate add both flours, semolina, hand crush carrom seeds, corse fennel seeds and coriandor seeds

* Step 2

Add ghee, salt, Baking soda. Start binding the dough.

* Step 3

Add little little lukewarm water and knead stiff dough. Cover it and give rest of 1/2 hr.

* Step 4

After 1/2 hr knead dough. Grease hand and make small small equal balls. Heat up the appam maker and grease every cavity of it. Place the dough balls in it.

* Step 5

Arrange it and close the lid and cook on low flame. After 2-3 min open the lid turn the balls. Till all sides get golden.

Make all Battis like that. Take out and deep them in ghee.

* Step 7

Coat the ghee to all Battis. Serve with Dal (recipe Uploaded), salad, ghee and Jaggery.
