Tex's General Purpose Meat Seasoning
This is just an all purpose seasoning I use to enhance the flavour of beef in burgers, steaks, BBQ, even pork and lamb. Use it as is, or add your own herbs and spices to a tablespoon or so depending on the dish
The ingredients will settle over time so always shake well before use, and preferably use in a salt shaker...
Cooking instructions
* Step 1
Mix all the ingredients. Add to a jar or dredging cup, and shake well before use
* Step 2
For burgers & meatballs, add the seasoning in to the mix, and/or season during cooking
* Step 3
Season steaks on both sides just before adding to the skillet. Some seasoning will cook off, so don't be shy about extra seasoning in the pan
* Step 4
Use as a dry rub for joints of beef or pork
* Step 5
Add to filling for stuffing peppers, mushrooms etc.
* Step 6
Mix with extra garlic granules and add to a batter to make garlic battered mushrooms. Put them in the oil with a skewer or cocktail stick to avoid finger burning. Pick them off with a fork at the last second
