Vanilla cupcake

Cooking instructions
* Step 1
Preheat the oven at 180ºC and line a cupcake tin with cupcake paper liners
* Step 2
Beat the butter and sugar together for roughly 5 minutes until light and fluffy now Add the vanilla extract and eggs, mix again
* Step 3
Add the self-raising flour and baking powder and mix until it is combined making sure its smooth and no lumps left behind. Spoon into 12 cupcake cases filling each 2/3 full
* Step 4
Bake in the oven for 15-18 minutes. Check they are cooked by piercing them with a cocktail stick, if the stick comes out clean they are well cooked and ready to be taken out if not depending on you oven type cook for another minute. Once fully cooked Place on a wire rack to cool completely
* Step 5
Once the cupcakes have cooled completely, make making the buttercream. Start by beating the softened room temperature butter for a minute or two, now add in the icing sugar and beat until mixed well
* Step 6
Gradually add the milk a little at a time until you get a smooth but still quite thick consistency (suggestion 1 tablespoon)
* Step 7
Move the buttercream into a piping bag and pipe onto the cupcakes. Finish with any decorations as desired and there they are ready ti be served
