Take a bowl and mix together all purpose flour, salt, baking powder, and water to form a chunky batter. In a heavy bottomed pan, add enough oil. Dip the dates in batter and deep fry till golden brown. Transfer them to a kitchen towel to drain. Serve hot with tea or coffee.
