In India, we prepare bottle gourd in so many different and delicious ways. Lauki Halwa is one such amazing dessert that brings out lauki taste beautifully! I have used silver warak for a royal look. This is an easy way of preparation in Microwave.

Cooking instructions
* Step 1
First, wash the bottle gourd well. Remember to taste a slice for bitterness.
Next, grate the bottle gourd and squeeze out extra water by pressing through a muslin cloth.
* Step 2
Now, take a large microwave-safe bowl. Add the bottle gourd, 1 tablespoon ghee, and 1/4 cup water. Mix well. Microwave on 80% power for 2 minutes.
* Step 3
Take out, stir well. Again repeat for 1minute. The water will start drying. Now add milk, malai, and microwave on 70% power in intervals of 1 minute and stir in between each interval. This may take 5 to 8 minutes depending on the oven.
* Step 4
When milk and malai have been absorbed, add sugar, milk powder, and mix well.
* Step 5
Microwave the mixture at 60% power with inter.
* Step 6
Now, arrange the halwa in a tray. Press with silver waraq on top. Cut into pieces. Cool well to set. Then serve delicious Lauki Halwa and enjoy!
