Pepper or Kali Mirch is another important part of India's heritage spices family. Mainly found in Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Coorg, and other southern regions, pepper adds that important spice and flavor to any Indian or continental dish. There are other varieties of pepper available too such as yellow pepper, green pepper, and white pepper. Pepper is a good digestive spice, used in the treatment of various throat and nasal infections. Drinking kadha, soup, rasam spiced with pepper improves immunity, gives warmth, and helps in controlling congestion in the throat and nose.
I have made an easy pepper and Cheese Sauce which goes very well with pasta, sandwich, baked dishes, grilled veggies, or as a dip. Enjoy!
