Chicken Changezi restaurant style

#WIN #WEEK8 Chicken Changezi is one of the most popular Mughlai preparations that is loved in the northern regions of India. It is famous for its delicious and unique taste that it gets from the particular spices used to cook the recipe

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

First wash the chicken well and make cut on the pieces,then place in a mixing bowl. Add curd and all the spices mentioned above for marination.mix well and coat the chicken well with marination and leave for 1/2 hour and if you have time leave it for 2-3 hours or overnight.

Take a pan add 3-4 tbsp oil when oil become medium hot add the chicken pieces one by one and fry over high flame for 2-3 minutes then flip them. Cover and cook over medium flame for 10-12 minutes until it cooked 70-80 %. Remove the pan from the flame and keep aside.

Now for preparing the gravy Take a big kadhai add oil. once the oi gets hot add finely chopped onion cooked over medium high flame until they turn golden brown. Now add ginger, garlic and green Chilli paste saute for a minute. Turn the flame low and add all powder spices except garam masala. Add sow water and cook the spices for 3-4 minutes.

When oil separate add tomato puree and salt.mix well.cover and cook over medium flame for 4-5 minutes.now add the fry chicken along with remaining fat in the pan.

Add 1/2cup of water,Cover and cook for 10 minutes on medium flame or until the chicken has cooked completely. Open the lid add cream and kasuri methi,garam masala powder.mix well.

Cover and cook for 2 minutes then switch off the flame. Yummmyy chicken changezi is ready.dish out and serve with Naan
