Flaky mawa Gujhiya

#Holi2022 Gujiya is a very popular Indian festival dessert, prepared mostly during Holi and Diwali. I have also prepared gujhiya and my family members love it. I share the recipe of flacky gujhiya which has many layers and it is crispy from outside and soft from inside.

Ingredient

as needed

Water

2 tbsp

corn flour

100 gm

mawa

1 tbsp

chiraunji

as required

Oil for frying

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Take ghee and refined flour.put flour and 2 tbsp ghee in a mixing bowl together. mix with the help of fingers.then gradually add water and make a semi soft dough.cover with a damp cloth and keep aside for 20 minutes

* Step 2

Take a pan add mawa roast it on low flame when it change the colour add coconut and chiraunji then roast again for a minute.turn off the flame.when it cool down add the sugar and mixed well

* Step 3

Now take the dough divide the dough into five equal parts and make balls.in a bowl add corn flour and ghee mix it nicely.keep aside.roll all ball as a roti. then take one roti apply corn flour mixture evenly on it.put the other roti on it then again apply corn flour mixture.repeat the method.

* Step 4

When all roti completed apply the mixture on last roti and fold it tightly in a cylindrical shape.cut it in the pieces.

* Step 5

Take one piece press with palm. roll it like a small puri.apply water on the corner. fill some stuffing in the middle and fold it.press the edges and make design as shown in the picture.prepare all the Gujhiya.s

* Step 6

Heat oil in a kadhai,turn the flame low and fry the Gujhiya on low to medium flame until they turn golden brown. Cool and store in a aur tight container
