Cooking instructions
* Step 1
Wash chana, strain it, transfer it to a pressure cooker. Add 2 cup water (adjustable), lil salt & 1 tsp oil. Place the lid, give 6 whistles on high flame. Lower the flame, cook it for 10 minutes. Turn off the flame. Take out the chana leaving behind the water if any, after it depressurises naturally.
* Step 2
Clean the pressure cooker, dry it, add oil, heat it.
* Step 3
In goes hing & zeera, let it splutter. Add whole Garam Masala, saute it for 30 sec.
* Step 4
Now add garlic & ginger, saute it until light brown. In goes dry red chilli, saute it for 30 sec.
* Step 5
Add onion now, stir fry it until light brown. In goes green chilli, stir fry it for 30 sec.
* Step 6
In goes haldi powder, dhania powder & red chilli powder, mix it well.
* Step 7
Add lil water to avoid burning, cook it until oil has oozed out.
* Step 8
Now add tomato 🍅 & salt, mix it well. Cook it covered on low flame until tomato becomes mushy.
* Step 9
Open the lid, add garam masala powder, Kashmiri red chilli powder & kasoori methi. Mix it well.
* Step 10
Now add chana, increase the flame, stir fry it for 5 minutes.
* Step 11
In goes leftover water if any or 1 cup boiled water, mix it well.
* Step 12
Place the lid, give 4 whistles on high flame, lower the flame, cook it for 7 minutes.
* Step 13
Turn off the flame, allow it to depressurise naturally. Open the lid after 5 minutes.
* Step 14
Take out in a serving bowl, garnish it with chopped dhania patta.
