Ingredient

Cooking instructions
* Step 1
Take a mixing bowl,add rice & dal, mix it well, wash it, soak in water for 1/2 hr, strain it, keep aside.
* Step 2
Fry all the veggies in oil, keep aside.
* Step 3
Take a pressure cooker, add ghee, heat it, moderate the heat, add tejpatta & dalchini, saute it for a while.
* Step 4
Now add hing & zeera, let it splutter.
* Step 5
Add green chillies & ginger, saute it for a while.
* Step 6
Now add tomato, stir fry it for a while. Do not over cook it.
* Step 7
Add red chilli powder, give a stir.
* Step 8
Add all the veggies, stir fry it for a while.
* Step 9
Now add khichdi into the masala, stir fry it for a while.
* Step 10
Add garam masala powder, salt & sugar, mix it well, increase the flame.
* Step 11
Stir fry khichdi till grains aur separated.
* Step 12
Add water accordingly so that khichdi does not become mushy.
* Step 13
Place the lid, give 2 whistles.lower the flame, cook it for 8-10 min.
* Step 14
Switch off the flame, allow it to depressurize. Open the lid after a while.
* Step 15
Take out in a serving bowl, keep aside. Take a tadka pan, add ghee, heat it.
* Step 16
Add laung & dry red chilli, cook it till brown, add in the cooked khichdi, do not mix it.
* Step 17
You can add chopped dhania patta (optional)
* Step 18
Have it with Raita, Salad, Papad or Chutney.
