Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Firstly, soak dried red chili in hot water for 30 minutes or till they turn soft.

* Step 2

Discard the water and blend to smooth paste adding water if required. Keep aside.

* Step 3

Now in a large Kadai, heat ¼ cup oil. Saute in ¼ cup garlic and 2 tbsp ginger for a minute.

* Step 4

Furthermore, add in prepared red chili paste. Saute for 2 minutes, so that chili gets cooked well. Now add ¼ cup water and adjust consistency.

* Step 5

Cover and simmer for 15 minutes. Make sure to cook the sauce till the oil floats on top. Now add in ½ tsp pepper, 2 tbsp vinegar, 2 tbsp soy sauce, 2 tbsp tomato sauce, 1 tbsp sugar, and salt to taste.
