Towards the End of the Month Menu (Part One)
Tofu in Soy Sauce
My husband and I live on a fix income. It is towards the end of the month. It’s time for frugal meal but still need some protein. So, tofu it is.
Cooking instructions
* Step 1
Cut tofu into 1/2 inch thick. Dab tofu with paper towel well to get water out of it. Pan fry in some oil. About 3 minutes on each side. If tofu is fried too long, it will taste chewy.
* Step 2
Remove to plate. In a bowl, put all ingredients for sauce except roasted sesame seeds. Mix well. Drizzle sauce on tofu. Sprinkle roasted sesame seeds on top.
* Step 3
Enjoy with rice or just by itself. I add minced red bell pepper just for photo effect. 😊
