Carrot Burfi
Burfi is a dense milk based sweet from the Indian subcontinent,and a type of mithai.The name is a derivative of the Urdu word barf, which means snow.few of the famous varieties of burfi include besan burfi,kaju burfi and pista burfi.The main ingredients of plain barfis include powdered milk and sugar.The ingredients are cooked in a vessel until the mixture solidifies. Today I made burfi from carrot ( gajar) and believe me it really yummy and as I said it’s Valentine’s Day special so I have given it #heart shape so without wasting any time let’s cook together .#Heart

Cooking instructions
* Step 1
First in a large pan or kadahi heat ghee and roast in grated carrot.
* Step 2
Sauté in 5 minutes or till the colour changes lightly and carrot shrinks.
* Step 3
Now add 1 cup milk and stir,cover and boil for 10 minute on low flame or till the carrot turns soft.stir occasionally till the milk reduces completely and thickens.
* Step 4
Now add 1/2 cup sugar and mix well and stir till the sugar melts and thickens.
* Step 5
Then add in 1/2 cup milk powder and give a good mix,make sure there are no lumps formed in the mixture keep stirring till separates from pan.
* Step 6
Furthermore add cardamom powder and mix well, transfer the prepared mixture into greased plate lined with baking paper.now sprinkle some chopped almonds and pistachio and press gently.you can make laddoo also if you don’t have plate or baking paper.it’s totally your choice.
* Step 7
Allow to set for 30-40 minutes or till it sets completely,then cut the pieces of any shape which you like as I liked #heart shape for Valentine’s Day special.finally carrot burfi is ready to serve your loved ones.
