Basbousa Cake (Semolina Cake)

Basbousa also known as Hereessa is a traditional dessert from the Middle East which is made up of Semolina drenched in sugar syrup. #sd1 #shipitandon

Ingredient

Food ration :

4-6 people

Cooking time :

1 hour and 30 minutes
100 gram

melted butter

200 gram

milkmaid

1 tablespoon

baking powder

200 gram

sugar

1 cup

water

1/2 tsp

lemon juice

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Take one big bowl add milkmaid, water and butter. Mix well and keep aside

* Step 2

Take another bowl add suji, designated coconut and baking powder. Mix nicely.

* Step 3

Now mix dry ingredients with butter water mixture. Add some almonds and keep some for decoration. Now take one square shape tin around 8 inches. Grease it and pour the mixture and keep aside for 30 minutes.

* Step 4

After 30 minutes bake it in a pre heated oven for 30-35 minutes. After giving 5 minutes standing time takeout the cake and pour the sugar mixture on cake and bake it again for 10 minutes.

* Step 5

Super moist and tasty Basbousa cake is ready. Must try.😋
