Mustard Mash

Tasty mashed potato - quick and simple but with a little bite. Today’s mash was accompanied by pork loin cutlets, carrots and French beans. Note alternative snack use. #lunch #dinner #brunch #comfortfood

Ingredient

Cooking time :

20-25 minutes including prep
40-50 g

butter

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Boil the potatoes in salted water until just cooked (c.15 minutes). Drain in a colander.

* Step 2

Add 1/2 the butter and mash for 30 seconds. Add the spring onions, garlic, mustard and remaining butter continuing to mash until the desired consistency is achieved.

* Step 3

Serve piping hot with your chosen accompaniments. Alternatively, form into patties and quickly fry to brown the outside and make a tasty snack or light meal, perhaps even topped with a fried egg and/or bacon rasher.
