Potato Rösti with saffron
A Swiss Classic that I had actually never made before despite living in Switzerland for 10 years! Now this is not the classic recipe it’s a bit of a twist
Cooking instructions
* Step 1
Wash, peel, and grate the potatoes. Put them in a colander and leave them to drain of their water pressing them down every now and then.
* Step 2
Beat an egg, add the saffron, add the salt. Mix in the potatoes and the flour.
* Step 3
Warm up a frying pan with butter and when golden add the potatoes and press them down with a fork, cook for 3/4 minutes on each side until golden. Then turn them and cook the other side. Put them on a plate and serve hot
