Cooking instructions
* Step 1
Mix Seived flour, baking powder, baking soda, sugar and salt in a bowl.
* Step 2
Take milk at room temperature add curd, mix it and keep it aside for 10 minutes.
* Step 3
Add melted butter into the dry ingredient and knead a soft dough with milk mixture, Initially the dough will seem crumbly keep kneading If needed you can add little curd. Avoid using water. Rest the dough for about 10 minutes and after 10 minutes, knead it once again for 1-2 minutes. You can see the dough becoming very smooth.
* Step 4
For filling--Mix the soft butter along with jaggery and cinnamon powder to it. Mix it well to make a paste.
* Step 5
In a Kadhai add salt and put a stand which should be 1-1 1/2 high, cover and pre heat for 12 mins on medium flame.
* Step 6
Roll out the dough with a thickness of about 1/2 cm. Try making a rectangle, slowly try giving the shape. The thickness should be even.Spread the cinnamon paste equally all around them smoothly. Should be a nice even layer. Now Fold(with book fold technique) roll with a rolling pin for the edges to stick.
* Step 7
Make 6 divisions. Cut 3 strips from one division, twist each of the strips to make a braid and tuck both the edges at the bottom.
* Step 8
Grease small bowls and place them on a plate and put it into the preheated kadhai Cook on medium-hot flame for about 15-20 minutes. You will see that the colour has started to change. Brush with melted butter, the crust will become really nice and soft. You can serve them warm. Dust with icing sugar and enjoy.
