Cooking instructions
* Step 1
Wash & boil the potatoes then prick each of them
* Step 2
Then sprinkle a pinch of kashmiri powder in potatoes & fry them
* Step 3
De-seed the red chillies then soak them in lukewarm water. Then paste them smoothly
* Step 4
Heat oil in a deep base utensil, then add asafeotida, red chilli powder, coriander powder, cinnamon powder, fennel powder, chopped ginger, salt & bit of water & stir
* Step 5
Then take a bowl add curd, red chilli paste, ginger powder, a pinch of salt & mix them well
* Step 6
Add the curd mixture in the spices & stir well. Check if salt is required
* Step 7
Then add the fried potatoes & cover & cook for about 10-15 minutes. When mixture thickens add garam masala powder & finish off with some chopped coriander & green chillies
* Step 8
And your delicious Kashmiri Dum Aloo is ready to serve! Serve it hot with roti, paratha or steamed rice!
