Milk and Chocolate Peda

This is simple yet very delicious sweet recipe for Raksha Bandhan or Diwali or any other festival. This is a very easy recipe with just 4 ingredients and can be prepared start to end in just about half an hour.

Ingredient

Food ration :

16 pcs
200 ml or 1/2 tin

Condensed Milk

1/2 cup

Milk Powder

As required

Saffron strands

1 tsp

Ghee

As required

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

For Milk peda, add 1 tbsp ghee, condensed milk, milk powder to the pan and milk well. Add the elaichi powder and saffron strands and mix.

* Step 2

Start cooking the above mix on a simmer with continuous mixing. Do not increase heat. It will first become slightly liquid, then start thickening.

* Step 3

After about 3 minutes it will start leaving the sides and form a lump. Remove it on a greased plate and leave for cooling.

* Step 4

Repeat the same process for chocolate peda too. Do not allow the lumps to cool completely. Cool only till they are warm.

* Step 5

Grease your hands with some ghee. Take lemon sized balls and roll them between your palms and press slightly to make peda shape.

* Step 6

Stamp some designs on the pedas if you have any. I used fondant cutters for it. Else you can just press some chopped pistachios on it.

* Step 7

For the ying-yang shape, take small balls of both the milk and choco pedas and roll them together with light pressure so that they stick but not mix completely. Take very small balls and place them on opposite colors as shown in the video.

* Step 8

My kids call them Kungfu Panda pedas ☺️ Though some of them were not exactly s-shaped in between who cares.. they are yummy
