Sweet potato gulab jamun

Sweet potato gulab jamun is a unique and innovative dessert recipe.This recipe is ideal for vrats as it is falahari, not only it provides nourishment but also provides mouth watering experience.
Cooking instructions
* Step 1
To prepare sugar syrup - boil water and add sugar to it keep stirring it till you get one string consistency syrup.add cardmom powder and saffron strands to this. Once done switch off the flame
* Step 3
Boil sweet potato but it should not be mushy and too hard also, remove the skin and mash it into a bowl
* Step 4
Take a mixing bowl add mashed sweet potato, milk powder, refined flour, baking soda knead it well without any lumps(dont add any water)
* Step 5
Divide dough into equal portions Apply little oil in ur palms and make roundles without any cracks
* Step 6
Heat sufficient ghee in a kadai on medium heat
* Step 7
Once ghee is hot drop jamuns in it, cook it by stirring occasionally on medium flame
* Step 8
Fry jamuns till golden brown in colour (make sure your flame is not high)
* Step 9
Transfer fried jamuns into slightly hot sugar syrup and allow it to rest for 1-2 hrs
* Step 10
Sweet potato gulab jamuns are ready to serve.

Note - you may need more or less milk powder
* Step 12
Boil sweet potato in same way as how we boil potatoes
* Step 13
You can use oil also for deep frying instead of ghee
