Cooking instructions

* Step 1

First for spice powder - in a pan take coriander seeds, cumin seeds,dry red chilli,black pepper corns, cloves, cinnamon,dry coconut powder and dry roast all ingredientes for 3-4 minutes,until nice aroma coming out. Turn off the gas,let it cool down.

* Step 2

Now in a pan take curry leaves and dry roast it for 2 minutes. Take out. Then in a same pan add urad dal and chana dal,dry roast it for 4-5 minutes. Let it cool down.

Now take all dry roast ingredients in a grinder,and grind it well and make fine powder. Bisi bele bhaat spice powder is ready.

Now in a cooker take washed rice and toor dal,add enough water,salt and turmeric power.Cook it until 2 whistle.

Now for tadka,add ghee,when ghee is getting hot add mustard seeds,then add onion, potato,carrot,bottle gourd, peas and cook for 3-4 minutes. Now add chopped tomatoes. Cook until they becomes soft. Now add cooked rice and dal. Then add spice powder. Mix all ingredients well.

* Step 6

Now add boiled water and cook all ingredients for 5-6 minutes. Bisi bele bhaat is ready to serve.Serve hot with roasted papad and dollop of ghee.
