Okra sandwich

#sandwich Today I wanna share Healthy Grilled Sandwich with Crunchy Bhindi filling. Chatpati, little spicy, little tangy with some crunchiness. Okra/bhindi with nutty flavor was something very new and worth trying. Make it at breakfast or evening snack, for kids or adults. Kids who complain eating veggies, will definitely enjoy these sandwiches. Ideal for lunch boxes too... Placing a cheese slice in the sandwich will make the kids drool. I am sure Veg-lovers will rave about the simply fabulous nutty flavor of this hearty grilled sandwich. It goes so well with a dash of ketchup and layer of tangy green chutney. For healthy reason I used brown bread.

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Crush the peanuts and cumin seeds in a mortar and pesstle. Heat oil in a wok/karahi. Add sliced onions into the oil and saute on medium heat.

* Step 2

Add sliced okra/bhindi and cook for 2minutes

* Step 3

Now add salt, green chillies, red chilli powder and turmeric powder. Stir fry uncovered till bhindi is crisp and cooked.

* Step 4

Add crushed peanuts and cumin powder. Cook for 1-2minutes. Cool.

* Step 5

For sandwich-Spread green chutney on one slice and tomato ketchup on another slice. Spoon a generous amount of crispy bhindi on one slice of bread. Place a cheese slice and cover with other slice.

* Step 6

Grill the sandwich in a sandwich maker until Golden brown and crisp. Serve hot.
