Karachi halwa , soft and melts in mouth sweet delicacy is also known as "Bombay halwa".
A little tedious and time consuming recipe but end result is just amazing.
Cooking instructions
* Step 1
Corn flour mixture recipe: firstly, in a large mixing bowl take corn flour and water.
* Step 2
Mix well without forming any lumps.
* Step 3
Furthermore, add half cup of more water and continue to mix and keep aside.
* Step 4
Cornflour halwa: firstly in a large kadai or in any non-stick pan take sugar add water.
* Step 5
Allow the syrup to boil and pour corn flour mixture into the boiling sugar syrup.
* Step 6
Furthermore, stirring continuously on low-medium flame.
* Step 7
Once the corn flour mixture starts to boil, and starts to thicken,immediately add a tsp of lemon juice and also keep stirring till the mixture thickens completely.
* Step 8
Now add a tbsp full of ghee and mix continuously till all the ghee is absorbed.
* Step 9
Further, add another tbsp of more ghee and continue to mix till it turns glossy,
then the mixture will start turning transparent and silky,will be releasing ghee from sides.
* Step 10
Add food colour, cardamom powder and chopped cashews and continue to mix till mixture will start to form a lump.
* Step 11
Later transfer the mixture to a tray and level,also sprinkle some chopped almonds and rest for an hour.
* Step 12
Finally, cut to a desired shape and serve.
