Homemade Pizza Dough πŸ•

Making your own pizza can seem intimidating, but it's a fab way to pass an evening for those with more time on their hands.

Ingredient

Food ration :

2 Pizzas
500 g

Flour

5 g

Yeast

2 tsp

Salt

400 ml

Warm Water

25 ml

Oil

1 tsp

Sugar

25 g

Polenta

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Combine the yeast, water and sugar to activate it. Leave aside for 5-10 minutes until it starts to foam.

* Step 2

Combine the flour and salt in a large bowl. Gradually combine the water bit-by-bit until you make a loose dough. Tip the dough out onto a floured counter and knead for 5-10 minutes until it is smooth and elastic. If the dough is very sticky you can knead it on an oiled countertop (instead of a floured counter).

* Step 3

Oil another bowl and place the dough in the bowl, coating it in oil as you do so. Cover with a wet tea-towel or clingfilm and leave to prove in a warm spot for about 2 hours, or until it is doubled in size.

* Step 4

Tip the dough out of the bowl onto a floured surface and split into 2 equal-sized balls. Gently stretch the dough to fit the size of the pan you are using.

* Step 5

Don't flatten with a rolling pin as this will remove all the bubbles, instead stretch it using your fingertips. You can use the back of your hands to stretch the dough more, place the dough on top of your hands and gradually pull your hands apart to stretch it out.The dough might be very sticky, you can dust your countertop with polenta to stop it sticking more.

* Step 6

Grease and dust your pizza trays with a little oil and polenta to stop the pizza sticking. Add your chosen toppings, cook and enjoy!!
