Banoffee Pie 🍌

This recipe is NOT vegan, me and my boyfriend made it and I couldn't resist sharing it! I might try to create a vegan version however here is the original for all you dairy lovers.

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Crush the biscuits, we used a rolling pin but you can use a food processor or wooden spoon. Melt the butter (we did this on a gentle heat with it chopped into cubes).

* Step 2

Mix the biscuits and melted butter together and mix until fully combined. Tip the mix into a pie dish and press it to cover the whole base. Use the back of a spoon to really press the biscuit mixture down. Leave in the fridge to set, either for a few hours or overnight.

* Step 3

Boil a pan of water and put the tin of condensed milk in (remove the label first). Boil for 2 1/2 hours. Remove from the pan and open the tin and inside you should have a toffee mixture.

* Step 4

Spoon the toffee onto the biscuit base and spread evenly. Chop up the banana into disks and add on top of the toffee. Put back in the fridge and leave to set for 30 mins.

* Step 5

Whip the cream with the sugar until it makes stiff peaks. Spoon on top of the bananas. Take the chocolate and grate over the cream and serve!
