Gravlax - Home made Marinated Salmon

Once you have made this at home you will never buy the store one ever again. So much better, freasher and CHEAPER

Ingredient

6-8 servings

Prep 5 mins 3 days in fridge

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Put Salmon Skin Side down in a non metal dish - you will need 2 that can fit inside one another. pour over the brandy or gin.

* Step 2

Mix the Salt and Sugar and sprinkle all over the top and a little on the sides. then sprinkle the chopped dill over the top.

* Step 3

Place so cling film over the top losely - this if to stop anything sticking NOT to make airtight cover. Then place the second dish ontop and place some cans or weights ontop. Place in Fridge and leave for 3 days. Every 24 hours remover the 2nd dish, put back the cling flim and with a tea spoon based with the juices. replace film, dish abd tins and return to fridge

Remover salmon and pat dry with kitchen paper - you want remove most of the dill and then thinely slice and serve with....... well anything it tastes AMAZING :)

Serve with my amazing dill and mustard sauce. (See recipes)
