Orange Fluff Cake

Orange Fluff Cake

Another old gained recipe from one of my favorite old cookbooks.

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Preheat oven to 325°F

* Step 2

For the cake

* Step 3

Beat yolks well.

* Step 4

Add 1 Cup sugar to yolks and beat well, until light yellow.

* Step 5

Sift flour and baking powder together. Set aside.

* Step 6

Add orange juice and rind, then water.

* Step 7

Add the flour mixture. Set aside.

* Step 8

In a separate bowl, beat egg whites, gradually add the remaining sugar to the whites and continue beating until stiff.

* Step 9

Fold yolk mixture into egg white mixture.

* Step 10

Bake in ungreased 10-inch tube pan for 20 minutes,

* Step 11

Increase heat to 350°F and bake for another hour or until fork or cake tater comes out clean when inserted in center of cake.

* Step 12

For the icing

* Step 13

Cream all icing ingredients together and spread on cake.
