Spicy tomato 'rasam' ๐Ÿ…๐ŸŒถ๏ธ๐Ÿง„

Rasam is a spicy south India soup, while it is sometimes served on it's own as a soup. Rasam is packed with essential vitamins and minerals which are great for our overall well being, this soup is rich in vitamin A,C, folic acid, zinc, copper, potassium and etc, it is a super healthy soup and it is recommended for you to include in your diet at least twice or thrice in your diet!

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Blanch tomatoes ๐Ÿ…, remove skin out and mash it well, keep aside.

* Step 2

Heat oil, add mustard seeds when start to crackle, add cumin seeds cook till golden, add curry leaves ๐ŸŒฑ, asafoetida and mix well. Add chopped garlic ๐Ÿง„ cook till golden, add green chillies chopped mix well, add blanched tomatoes ๐Ÿ… mashed and mix well, add spices: kashmiri red chillies powder ๐ŸŒถ๏ธ, coriander & cumin powder, rasam powder, black pepper powder and salt mix well.

* Step 3

Cook until oil separate from sides, add water๐Ÿ’ฆ mix well, let it boil, for 10 -15 mins, serve hot with plain rice ๐Ÿš, curd rice, sambhar rice, jeera rice.
