Gram flour modak🌺🏡️

Modak is an Indian sweet dumpings dish, popular in many Indian states and culture, modak is lord Ganesh and lord Buddha favorite dish and therefore it is use in prayers. Happy Ganesh chaturthi.

Ingredient

Food ration :

8 people

Cooking time :

30mins
3/4 cup

gram flour

2 tbsp

semolina

4 tbsp

ghee

1/2 cup

castor sugar

strands

Saffron

11/2 tbsp

condensed milk

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

For filling: take a bowl and add dry fruits, crushed cashewnuts, almonds, finely chopped raisins, dessicated coconut πŸ₯₯, condensed milk and mix well.

* Step 2

Make small balls and keep aside.

* Step 3

Heat ghee, when melted add gram flour and semolina, stir continuously till gram flour turns golden and fragrant, remove from flame.

* Step 4

Add turmeric powder mix, keep aside to cool in a large bowl, add castor sugar, cardamom powder mix.

* Step 5

Grease modak mould with ghee, add small quantity of gram flour mixture in the modak mould, add small balls of dry fruits mixture and cover the space with gram flour again.

* Step 6

Remove slowly from the mould and serve. Garnish with saffron strands, sliver paper.
