Yellow Rice

Yellow Rice initially dates back to 1574 and although its founder is not known, history takes us to Milan with Valerio de Flanders; Legend has it that his daughter asked for saffron rice during her wedding ceremony and it became popular like foam, not only among her guests but among the entire region.

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

We gather the ingredients, cook the rice for 10', chop the onion and garlic cloves, cook the peas for 10', grate the carrot, peel and chop the zucchini and leek.

* Step 2

We melt the butter, fry the onion, the garlic cloves, the zucchini, the leek, add the grated carrot, we pour in the white wine, let the alcohol evaporate, add the broth, bay leaves, rice and saffron, leave to cook for 30', plate the recipe and serve.
