Mum's Fried Soy Chicken with Sweet Sauce ๐ŸŒท๐Ÿค—๐Ÿ˜˜๐Ÿ”๐Ÿฅ๐Ÿ…๐ŸŒฐ๐Ÿง„๐Ÿฅ—

#ChristmasGift From my mums recipe. Its just a dish without spices, which my husband and older folks love it.

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Wash and leave the chicken pieces to drain. Pat dry and cut them into 2x3 inch rectangular. Add all the ingredients for the marinade and set aside for 10'.

* Step 2

Prepare for the SWEET SAUCE in a small bowl: Put the Tomato Ketchup, Vinegar, Honey, ABC Sweet Soy Sauce. Mix them all and set aside.

* Step 3

Add all the ingredients for the batter to the marinated chicken and mix.

* Step 4

Heat oil for deep frying in a wok.Once the oil is hot,add onion,stir fry for 2' then add garlic,ginger, capsicum,red chili&stir-fry 2'. Then take the battered chicken strips and drop them one at a time in the hot oil,not to crowd the pan. When the chicken is amost golden,add the Sweet Sauce mixture,Water, Salt n white Pepper & mix gently, lowering down the heat temp & continue stir fry for another 3 ' or until cook.

* Step 5

To lift them out with a large slotted spoon to drip off the oil. Put them into a large serving dish, sprinkle on top with green onions. To serve the Fried Chicken on the Steam cooked Rice as bed and a small bowl of fresh Lettuce.
