Wombok Salad with Creamy Sesame Dressing
You might have seen Japanese Creamy Sesame Dressing at Asian grocery stores. It’s very popular in Japan. You don’t need to buy it as it is actually quite easy to make if you have Sesame Seeds and Japanese Mayonnaise. And you know exactly what’s in it when you make it yourself. This is a very simple Wombok salad. Thanks to the Dressing, it is not a boring salad, but you may wish to add some protein such as Chicken OR Bacon.
Cooking instructions
* Step 1
Clean Wombok, cut into 1.5cm in length and separate hard white parts and soft parts.
* Step 2
Place the hard white parts into a mixing bowl, add Salt, and toss to mix well. Set aside for 15 minutes. Combine all the ingredients of Creamy Sesame Dressing in a small bowl. *Note: You can grind Toasted Sesame Seeds using a plastic bag. Find out how.
* Step 3
Add softer parts Wombok to the bowl and mix well. Add the Dressing and mix to combine. *Note: I sprinkled with some extra Toasted Sesame Seeds.
