Keftedakia in the oven
Keftedakia (Greek meatballs) in the oven with a tomato sauce flavored with basil. An amazing dish, easy and quick to make. A great recipe by Elias Mamalakis.
Cooking instructions
* Step 1
Mix to combine all the ingredients for the meatballs in a large bowl and place it in the fridge for 1 hour. Then form round keftedakia (meatballs) and place them in a baking tray.
* Step 2
Dissolve the tomato paste in 1/2 cup water and pour it over the meatballs. Add the finely chopped tomato and the oil and garnish with the basil leaves. Season with salt and pepper and finally sprinkle with the kefalotyri.
* Step 3
Bake at 180°C for about 1 hour until the keftedakia form a crust.
