Cherry jam
Get some nice ripe black cherries and make this jam. The only thing that takes some time is pitting them!
Ingredient

about 4 jars
Cooking instructions
* Step 1
Wash the cherries, pit them and cut them in half.
* Step 2
Place all the ingredients in a large pot, mix and cook over very low heat until the sugar dissolves.
* Step 3
Turn up the heat a little and let everything simmer until the cherries are tender.
* Step 4
Turn up the heat and let everything boil for about an additional 4' (jam sugar needs to boil a little while). Remove from heat and try the cold plate test*.
* Step 5
Let it cool and then store it in hot sterilized jars.
