Poulenta (polenta)

Traditional Ithaca pudding made with cornmeal. You serve it hot in the cold winter days.

Ingredient

Food ration :

4 servings
2 cups

water

6 tbsp

sugar

1 1/3 cup

cornmeal

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Boil the water with the raisins over medium heat for 5-6 minutes.

* Step 2

Then add the milk, the sugar and the cornmeal.

* Step 3

Stir constantly with a whisk until the pudding thickens.

* Step 4

Serve in bowls and sprinkle with cinnamon.
