Dough pie from Kastanies
Easy and filling traditional pie from Kastania, Proussos, Evrytania. One summer afternoon, Mrs Giannoula brought me a bunch of grapes and invited me over to fix the channels on her tv. Task completed, she showed me this recipe. I relay it unchanged.
Cooking instructions
* Step 1
Mix the flour, the zucchini, the cheese, the two eggs, half the oil, a cup of milk and a little lukewarm water until you get a batter.
* Step 2
Put it in a medium baking tray which you have brushed with oil.
* Step 3
Then, mix the other cup of milk, the two eggs and the rest of the oil and pour over the batter.
* Step 4
Bake at 180°C for about 45 minutes until golden brown (at the lower rack in a preheated oven).
