Red beef stew from Kefalonia
This is a "sofigado" from Kefalonia. An extremely tasty and delicious food!! All it takes to make it is a bit of time!
Cooking instructions
* Step 1
In a pot, sauté the meat in the oil until golden brown.
* Step 2
As soon as it browns, add the finely chopped onion, chopped garlic and pepper. When everything is sautéed, deglaze with the wine.
* Step 3
Let it boil for about 5 minutes and then add the tomato. Also add the tomato paste, pepper, cloves and pimento with plenty of water for it to boil.
* Step 4
If you see that it requires additional water as it boils, add some hot water from the kettle.
