North Dakota Wheat Salad

North Dakota Wheat Salad

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Clean the wheat; wash well.

* Step 2

Soak overnight in a crock-pot, covered with water.

* Step 3

Drain the liquid off.

* Step 4

Add enough fresh water to cover soaked wheat.

* Step 5

Cook the kernals until they are tender.

* Step 6

Drain and cool in a cake pan so it cools faster.

* Step 7

Sprinkle vanilla pudding over the undrained pineapple.

* Step 8

In separate bowl, break up the cream cheese.

* Step 9

Beat the cool whip in until smooth and fluffy.

* Step 10

Add the pudding mixture.

* Step 11

Fold in the cooled, cooked wheat and sunflowrr seeds.
