Smoked onion (salad)

Smoked onion (salad)

Ingredient

as needed

Salt

1/4 tsp

cumin powder

2-3 drops

Oil

2 drops

Ghee

1 pinch

Asafoetida

1 piece

charcoal

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Cut onion in long pieces

Separate it's layers.

* Step 3

Add salt, cumin pwder, red chilli pwder and few drops of oil in it. Mix it well.

* Step 4

Put piece of charcoal on burning flame. Burn it for 3-4 minutes.

* Step 5

Now keep this charcoal in the middle of onions, pour drops of ghee and Asafoetida on it quickly, and cover it at the moment.

* Step 6

Cover it for 2-3 minutes. It gives nice smokey taste to onions.

* Step 7

Serve this as salad especially with tandoori roti and any spicy curry.
