Cooking instructions
* Step 1
Pressure cook the dal with tomato, chilli and water for 3 whistle.
* Step 2
When the dal is coking make a paste of the coconut, cumin, garlic, turmeric, onion with some water.
* Step 3
When the pressure release from the cooker, open the lid of the cooker.
* Step 4
Add the coconut paste, kokam, salt, and water.
* Step 5
Heat coconut oil in a pan add mustard seeds, cumin seeds and let them crackle, add garlic, dry red chilli, curry leaves, fry till the garlic becomes a light brown, lastly add asafoitida.
* Step 6
Now pour the hot tempering on the dal.
