Simple duck leg with winterveg
Bought a reduced duck leg yesterday. I am doing a sunday roast for 1. Not a lot of work Just some time in the oven. Easely adaptable just cook 1 leg per person. Also nice with turnips,Brussel sprouts,salsifis,...
Ingredient

Cooking instructions
* Step 2
Cut the veg. Peel the garlic. Put them in an oven container. Put in the herbs
* Step 3
Score the duck leg and brown in a non stick pan. You do not need oil.
* Step 5
Stick in the oven for 30 min
* Step 6
After 30 min add the stock
* Step 7
Bake for another 90 min. Braise the duck every 30 min
* Step 8
Optional
Get the juices from the bake. Put on the stove add 1 tb red currant jam and 1 tb ketchup. Let it cook for a few min and thicken with maïzena. Glace the duck with it before serving
* Step 9
Serve with the veg and fresh parsley or chives.
You can add carbs of choice.
