Simple duck leg with winterveg

Bought a reduced duck leg yesterday. I am doing a sunday roast for 1. Not a lot of work Just some time in the oven. Easely adaptable just cook 1 leg per person. Also nice with turnips,Brussel sprouts,salsifis,...

Ingredient

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Preheat oven 160°C

* Step 2

Cut the veg. Peel the garlic. Put them in an oven container. Put in the herbs

Score the duck leg and brown in a non stick pan. You do not need oil.

Put the leg on the veg

Stick in the oven for 30 min

After 30 min add the stock

Bake for another 90 min. Braise the duck every 30 min

Optional Get the juices from the bake. Put on the stove add 1 tb red currant jam and 1 tb ketchup. Let it cook for a few min and thicken with maïzena. Glace the duck with it before serving

Serve with the veg and fresh parsley or chives. You can add carbs of choice.
