TLT instead of BLT Sandwich
Are you a fan of bacons? How about having a BLT sandwich for your Sunday morning with a cup of coffee or tea? It is sound good isn’t???
But how if you are running out the bacon or somebody else don’t eat bacon? Don’t worry! You still can make your morning sandwich with something else. Sandwich with eggs or crispy chicken sounds delicious too. But don’t you ever try to make sandwich with tofu??? Tofu is the best substitute for BLT, it’s high protein and vegans or vegetarian friendly. So, if you are vegetarian or vegans then you will love this recipe. Well, I am not a vegetarian but I love this tofu lettuce tomato (TLT) sandwich so much. So, let’s take a look at the recipe:
Cooking instructions
* Step 1
First, marinated the tofu with soy sauce, ginger, and mushrooms powder for about 5-7 minutes).
* Step 2
Then spread the refried bean over the bread evenly, sprinkle with chili flake if you like. Then toasted for about 4 minutes (less or more) depends on how crunchy the bread you want.
* Step 3
While the bread is toasting, heat up the non-stick pan (you can spray it with cooking oil or brushing with little oil, but I don’t) add marinated tofu into the pan and cook it until it turns golden brown then flipped over and cook the other side as well until golden brown. I like to cook mine until crispy.
* Step 4
Now time to assembly: On the cutting board places 2 breads and arrange the lettuce on top, added tofu, tomatoes, and bell peppers (optional) then cover both breads with another two bread.
* Step 5
Tadaaa, your TLT are ready. Enjoy❤️
