My Dad's Grits the way he likes them

For my Dad

Ingredient

Food ration :

6-8 servings
2 cup

grits

8 cups

water

1/4 stick

butter

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Heat the water and salt to boiling add the grits. Stir immediately you don't need lumps. When the grits are popping cover and reduce heat. Stir often. When done add the butter and bacon.

* Step 2

Stir and let rest covered for 15 minutes. Don't worry about them getting cold it will be a long time for that.
