Cabbage and Lasagna Noodle roll ups Labor Day

I been working on this one for a very long time

Ingredient

Food ration :

salt

1 teaspoon

dill weed

1/2 teaspoon

onion powder

1 teaspoon

ground paprika

1-1/2 pound

ground beef

2 tablespoons

melted butter

1/4 cup

buttermilk

15 ounce

tomato sauce

1-1/2 tablespoons

extra Virgin olive oil

2 teaspoon

sugar

1/2 teaspoon

basil

As needed

water

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Preheat oven 400 degrees Fahrenheit

* Step 2

Cut the hard part of stem off the head of cabbage.

Blanch the cabbage. Boil the head till leaves release. If the head is to big like mine, remove leaves and blanch the leaves.

Melt the butter and add to breadcrumbs along with the buttermilk.

Mix breadcrumbs with the rice, meat, egg, and spices.

Roll a leaf with some of the meat mixture. Set aside and repeat.

Take a cabbage roll and wrap with lasagna noodle, with one wrap around. Cut off excessive amounts.

Set in a pan.

* Step 9

Make the sauce starting by frying the onion in oil till soft.

* Step 10

Add the rest of the sauce ingredients. Simmering for 20 minutes.

* Step 11

Pour the sauce over the noodles add cheeses.

Bake in oven uncovered 40-45 minutes till done.

* Step 13

Let rest 15 minutes covered add the garnish and serve.
