Dagwoods (Tuna and Egg Melts)

My mom made these growing up, and I always wondered about the name. Dagwood (as in Blondie’s husband) would make those towering, empty-the-fridge sandwiches, and that’s not what these are. But they are a good, quick meal, and they count as comfort food in my book.

Ingredient

Food ration :

4 people

Cooking time :

10-12 minutes

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

* Step 2

Mix ingredients together, being careful to leave some pieces intact (think guacamole) and spread onto buns.

* Step 3

Wrap sandwiches in aluminum foil and bake for 10-12 minutes.

* Step 4

Serve and consume. Leftover sandwiches taste great cold.
