Potluck Chili con Carne

Please view in 'metric'. I always weigh my ingredients for exactness in recipe and because I like using my kitchen machine Thermomix (=TMX) ;) I have added some amounts in the description as well. Just to make sure.

Ingredient

Food ration :

790 grams

diced onion

10 grams

garlic

1 dash

salt

1 dash

pepper

36 grams

spice mix

862 grams

corn

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Oil into large pot

* Step 2

Heat up oil in pot

* Step 3

Chop 4 large onions e.g. in Thermomix (=TMX) at speed 5 for 5sec

* Step 4

Add chopped onion to pot

* Step 5

Brown onion

* Step 6

Onions in ring towards sides of pot

* Step 7

Add meat in small portions till brown, then add more

* Step 8

Mix meat and onion well

* Step 9

Chopped 4 green peppers and ca. 8 garlic cloves to meat

Stir and turn heat to upper medium

* Step 11

Season meat with salt and pepper

* Step 12

Add tomatoes and stir. Heat down to lower medium

* Step 13

add spice mix = paprika, oregano, chili, parsley, cilantro

let simmer while rinsing kidney beans and corn

* Step 15

Add beans and corn

* Step 16

Simmer for 1 hour

* Step 17

Tabasco for extra spiciness, don't overdue! preferably individually in bowl
