Maja Blanca

“Maja Blanca” (Manjar blanco in Spanish meaning white delicacy), also known as coconut pudding, is a Filipino dessert made out of coconut milk. It’s commonly served with corn or ube (Maja Blanca con maiz/ube) during events, holidays, and traditional celebrations.

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Pour coconut milk into your cooking pot, wait till it boils.

* Step 2

Add the sugar, fresh milk, and cream style corn, then stir and let simmer for 6-8mins.

* Step 3

Combine the cornstarch mix and stir in the cooking pot slowly until it thickens.

* Step 4

Pour the mixture in a serving tray, flatten the top with a spatula

* Step 5

Let it cool down then refrigerate before serving after an hour or so

* Step 6

Garnish with toasted desiccated coconut or toasted nuts & sesame seeds. Square-cut and serve each piece while cold and fresh!
